Sweet Lilacs was born from a simple but unshakeable belief, that wedding florals should feel like art. Susan Kelleher has spent more than thirty years and over 5,000 weddings refining that belief into a practice: one rooted in the Japanese philosophy of Ikebana, shaped by the seasons of California's Sierra foothills, and guided always by the couple standing in front of her. We don't design from a catalogue. We don't repeat ourselves. Every arrangement begins with your story and ends with something that exists nowhere else in the world.

Each bouquet is a gathered poem of ranunculus, garden roses, peonies, seasonal foliage, and whatever blooms speak truest to your vision. Contract & Itemized List
After your contract is signed to hold your date with Sweet Lilacs, and your deposit is paid. Susan creates a detailed, itemized proposal with inspiration photos attached, so you can see exactly how your florals are taking shape, bloom by bloom.

Refinement
As your wedding evolves, so does your design. We stay in close collaboration with you right up to the final check-in a month before your day.
