Many people are not aware that I am also a part time teaching artist for CLASS (kindergarten - 8th grade). I am a HUGE advocate for art education.
CLASS (Community Liaison for Arts in Stanislaus Schools) brings teaching artists into elementary school classrooms to teach visual art lessons that integrate art history, artistic techniques and creativity with science, language arts, social studies and more. Our lessons are designed to promote learning in multiples areas, with the goal of showing that art is essential to every child’s education. We proudly work through the Central California Art Association (CCAA) at the Mistlin Gallery.
